Today, the most effective method for raising creative, questioning,
confident, problem-solving, and socially adept children is the "Active Learning Method". In this method, children are active, selective decision-makers in their learning process, while teachers act as facilitators who encourage and guide their learning.
At Meşepalamudu, we apply the Reggio Emilia Approach, recognized worldwide for years as one of the most successful active learning methods.
WHO ARE WE?
Hello!
I am Özlenen Kutlar. After working as an Industrial Engineer for 9 years, becoming a mother inspired me to step into the beautiful world of children professionally. When founding Meşepalamudu Children's House, my guiding thought was to create a high-quality environment where I would be entirely comfortable bringing my own son and daughter.
The ideal kindergarten I aimed to create was one that went beyond the classical concept—a place that doesn't pressure children beyond their developmental readiness. Instead, it nurtures their existing talents and equips them with the personality traits they need to become researching, questioning, and creative individuals poised for future success.
After extensive research, we decided on the Reggio Emilia approach as our educational method. The main reason for choosing this approach was its child-centered philosophy, which has been applied successfully for years to raise the bright minds of the future. Because it places immense value on the child, this method is incredibly successful at cultivating confident, creative individuals. We saw how right our decision was when we heard Howard Gardner, who revolutionized education with his Multiple Intelligences Theory, cite the Reggio Emilia method as an exemplary educational model.
"Education is a culture." Every school has its own unique culture. Having been inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach for many years, we have organically developed our own school culture.
Our students stand out with their originality and creative problem-solving skills in the primary schools they transition into.
The positive feedback we continually receive from both parents and our children's new teachers is a wonderful confirmation that we have reached our goal.
